I am proud member of the 紼勳k鳥硃梁 Nation from the Membertou reserve in Sydney, Nova Scotia. I was born in Ottawa, Ontario and came to British Columbia in the early 1990s.

I feel totally lucky to live with and raise my urban Indigenous family in the traditional territories of the Lkwungen and WSANEC peoples.

I value the beautiful diversity, resilience, and wisdom of all of our Indigenous communities as we come together to learn at 窪蹋勛圖厙.

My goal is to be present for the Indigenous students at 窪蹋勛圖厙 and walk beside them as they take their educational journey. I practise relational, Indigenous psychology while blending a person centred approach with narrative and cognitive therapy.

I hope my 25 years of experience counselling in community helps students achieve their hopes, dreams and goals at school.
